Sociology is one of my top subjects! I have served as a tutor for introduction to sociology, social statistics, social theory, and a range of specified topics including but not limited to race/ethnic relations, marriage and family, gender/sexuality,urban sociology, wealth/power/inequality, and aging. I have primarily tutored to athletes and my strengths are being able to make these subjects both undertsandable and enjoyable.

I believe that anyone can come to undertsand the underlying value of Sociology and can make the subject of Sociology enjoyable. While most professors do not require that a student enjoy what they learn, it is my personal belief that finding a personal connection to the subject matter allows the student to better learn, remember, and translate the material into an A in the classroom. I have helped the most reluctant of student athletes pass social statistics... I have no doubt I can help you as well.
I am currently finishing my Ph.D. in Sociology at Georgia State University, in the dissertation stage. I have been a lead graduate researcher for two years prior to beginning my dissertation. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a comprehensive background in both early childhood, elementary, and secondary schools. As a special education teacher, I am familiar with a vast range of student needs and current research-based practices to be used within the classroom. This knowledge has enabled me to grow as a professional, while allowing my students to thrive at his/her education level. While teaching in New Mexico, I taught using "English as a Second Language" models and strategies to non-native English speakers. This allowed for my delivery to be fine-tuned in a way that is more extensive based on individual need.
