Learning Can be Fun!

I have tutored children in group and individual piano lessons. I have tutored them in math and social studies. I have spent over 20 years in business in the accounting field and prepared countless financial statements and income tax returns. I am skilled in all things mathematical. I also speak Spanish through over 9 years of instruction.
I like to allow the student to read the material once and clarity any areas that need more explanation. Then I will allow them to answer questions from the material read and help them where needed to choose the correct answer and understand the reason for the answers. I like to reward a certain level of correct answers with points that can be redeemed for interesting small prizes. Ryan went on to further his musical education and graduated from Southeastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Church Music in 2007. A Little Bit About Me...

I have spent the last twenty years in teaching and related endeavors. I was the owner and administrator of my own Montessori school in Orlando, FL for eight years. The school had 100 students from preschool though sixth grade. I have ten years of teaching experience in grades 1-6 (Montessori/Traditional)and seven years of teaching primary students ages 1-1/2 through age six (Montessori students). I like to incorporate real world experience as well as hands on teaching. My style of teaching depends on the class I have. I incorporate whole group and small group using many visuals. I was a member of the Honors program at Valencia Community College, and graduated with my Associates (AA) as a Pre-Major in Elementary Education. I was hired as a Substitute Teacher for Orange County Public Schools in 2007, where I substituted for absent teachers and paraprofessionals in the Orange County Public Schools district. As a Substitute teacher, I taught children individually, as well as in group settings with varying exceptionalities. I also have taught children piano lessons, and french horn lessons in after-school programs.
