Spanish is one of my top subjects! This is a certification that I added on through tests that I had taken and passed. I have had 14 years of experience with Spanish through classes I had taken as a student in high school and college, my experience studying abroad for a semester in Spain, and my 4 years of teaching experience to students of all levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

My teaching style consists of a combination of direct instruction, active student participation, and frequent and differentiated assessment. I begin by presenting students with the information they will need to know for the unit that they are studying. I do this through the use of PowerPoint presentations, the SmartBoard, and video clips. I will often stop at several points throughout the lesson to see if students have any questions. I will also make sure that they are paying attention and will ask them questions about information they just learned, so I expect them to be paying attention and taking notes. I don't have a deggree in any of my listings. But i can say I have EXPERIENCE. I am a high school student. How I stand out from others is I know what teachers are looking for NOW. Things have obviously changed since others got their degrees. Teaching styles and expectations. I have a 3.0 avg. And my best subject by far is English. I also have spanish listed. I am a native spanish speaker. I grew up with and around the language. Sure you could find someone who was taught the language in the classroom. But why not someone who speaks it on a daily basis. Who can read, write, speak and deeply understand it.
Communication and patience is key. Im not an easily irritated person. I understand the struggles other teens may be going through as so have I before.

While Spanish is my specialty, I'm very capable and willing to help in many areas. I am especially good with math and grammar. My method is very student-led. The goal is to find ways of studying that use as many as possible of the following: seeing, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing.
