Spanish is one of my top subjects! This is a certification that I added on through tests that I had taken and passed. I have had 14 years of experience with Spanish through classes I had taken as a student in high school and college, my experience studying abroad for a semester in Spain, and my 4 years of teaching experience to students of all levels from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

I went to Penn State University to pursue a degree in social studies education and also to obtain a minor in Spanish. I have been learning and speaking Spanish for 13 years! I would argue that my understanding of grammar is better than most native speakers. I majored in Spanish at Brigham Young University. I lived in the Foreign Language Student Residence for a school year to become more fluent. I also did a couple of mission trips in Mexico and a summer internship with a local Spanish radio station. I worked as a bilingual teller at a bank for over 18 months, where I was able to practice my Spanish about half the time! I have experience as a tutor and hope to gain even more. I was a volunteer tutor to a 6th grader while at Brigham Young University. I have helped family and friends with Spanish on numerous occasions over the years.
