Don't tell me 2+2=4. Tell me WHY 2+2=4.

My teaching style differs with each child. One child does well learning by applying the material to real live situations Another does better with breaking it down and just memorizing facts I am very flexible and make an effort to find the best method to save both myself and the child time that would otherwise be wasted with an ineffective approach to learning.
Although I wish I could count the endless amount of time I spent playing teacher as a child, I know parents are looking for more expierence than an eight year old and her dolls. I prefer to try to be more hands-on in my approach to teaching, especially with younger children. I do know that their attention span isn't as long as that of older people, so I try to keep them engaged through short and interactive sessions.
I've completed high school and been accepted into college, so I obviously have what's needed for the lower levels of education, such as elementary students, and I maintained a GPA of 3.5 throughout my high school career, so there is a good change I'll at least be able to get the resources needed for your student to excel in the subject of study they struggle in. I'm very good with younger children, I've worked with them extensively for several years.
