I love to teach!

I like to ask questions of my students so they're the ones who figure out the topic as opposed to me telling them. Then I like to expand on that by going into the details of the subject as that's the only way to truly understand something. In my experience, tutoring this way helps the students become familiar with the topic as well as understanding why the topic is important.
I am a graduate of the University of Idaho where I received both my BS and MS in Chemistry. I taught general and physical chemistry laboratory courses while earning my MS as well. Finally, I tutored students in all branches of chemistry including high school level and organic. Since my MS was in physical chemistry, I learned quite a bit about mathematics and have even tutored my own chemistry students in algebra. Chemistry does require algebra, after all.

Don't tell me 2+2=4. Tell me WHY 2+2=4.

Although I wish I could count the endless amount of time I spent playing teacher as a child, I know parents are looking for more expierence than an eight year old and her dolls. I have tutored children, ages ranging from eight to fourteen, off and on for three years. Mathematics can be fun,,, REALLY
