Summer Math Tutor

I have tutored on a college level up to Calculus II in my campus tutoring center. I have completed two National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates in math and biology. In addition, my minor is education and I have completed two courses, which require me to teach a math lesson to children in elementary school. I received great reviews from my teacher. In addition, to teach at an elementary school, I was required to have a background check, which I can give to you.
My teaching style of choice is Demonstrator. I want to allow children to see examples and many different ways to complete a problem. I also would make sure real life application was involved in teaching students.

I spend much of time making the student understand that it is okay to feel behind in a subject and that the student should believe in himself. This belief is built on continued practice on fundamentals that I watch them go through but only ask questions when I see them going astray. Everyone needs to learn the material for his or herself. Growing up, I was always very gited academically. I never struggled with school, and learning was an easy pleasure. I graduated as valedictorian, and when I got to college I started tutoring to help others that had more difficulty in class.
