A Little Bit About Me...

I have a variety of teaching techniques that I use on a daily basis in my classroom. Although, I am not certified in elementary I work well with the younger kids as well. I am easy going and enthusiastic.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a licensed professional counselor who has worked extensively with children and youth, I have realized there is a need for solid educational options to be given and opportunities for success. During my time as a staff member for a residential youth agency, I spent many hours working with the kids on their homework and helping them understand the material. I had my first novel published in April 2008 and continue to enjoy writing as a hobby, as well as a requirement for much of my work. I have a desire to see youth increase their skills in writing and reading and would like to combine this with areas they enjoy. I have been caring for children of all ages for the last 9 years, which includes tutoring and metoring. I am also in my second year as a substitute teacher, in which I teach grades pre-k through 12th grade.
I believe that all children want and try to do their best, but sometimes need an extra push. I think it is necessary to use the appropriate curriculum, but to find out what teaching method works best for each student as we all learn differently.
