Saxophone is one of my top subjects! My primary instrument is tenor saxophone; but I can also teach alto and baritone. I'm an undergraduate student pursuing a jazz composition degree. I can teach both new sax players and middle-level sax players. I have experience playing in big bands, jazz combos, and three years of music theory. I can also teach music theory, clarinet, and piano upon request.

I can teach hands on saxophone instruction one-on-one or in a group. I can also give written and interactive music theory lessons.
I've been playing tenor saxophone for two years, clarinet for ten years, and I took advanced music theory in college. My playing experiences have included college big band, jazz combos, five years of grade school symphonic band, and singing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2013. I took AP Music Theory while I was in high school. I have a small amount of ability in playing piano and violin.

A Little Bit About Me...

Throughout all of my years of schooling, I have always been a high-achieve and always driven myself to exceed expectations. Beginning in high school, I tutored all high school math-which I continue to do today-, as well as English and Spanish. My favorite subject were always English and foreign languages. During my five years of college I often tutored my peers and other grade-school students.
I use a hands-on approach when teaching my students. I believe the only way to master anything is by doing it. I encourage my students to incorporate their ideas, and give me ideas as well, so that I may cater to his/her learning style. In addition to my prior experience of working with children, I am a effective communicator, highly motivated, patient, and organized person. When tutoring a student you have to have knowledge of what they know, what they should know, and how are you going to reach the goal.
