I worked full time and part time while obtaining my BA from Troy State University while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I have always enjoyed teaching and working with students. I believe a teacher must demonstrate patience and be flexible to the student's abilities. I have seen first hand what can happen if a teacher takes an interest in a child's education. I worked as a scout leader at a church in Pensacola. Most of the children were inner city kids who had very little parental involvement. Once the kids saw someone cared and spent time with them, they worked even harder to learn the material and were very successful. I believe a teacher can have the same impact. The school setting is the perfect enviroment for character education. The combination of teaching academics and attitude together can lead a student on a path to success in all areas of life.
