A Little Bit About Me...

I did not realize I wanted to become a teacher until after I took a long-term substitute job while looking for employment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and decided to further my education so that I could continue to teach. My undergraduate degree is in Mass Communications and Public Relations, which has helped me relate to all different students effectively and in different ways. My graduate degree is an Alternative Master's Degree in Secondary Language Arts. My experience in teaching began as a UPS manager in 2007, when I was in charge of training new employees in UPS processes. In 2008, I enhanced my capabilities with an English degree (3.98 GPA) and more teaching experience in the form of ESL tutoring for Korean students. Early in 2010, I began teaching pre-AP English at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, where I built curriculum around the subject as well as formed a key component of the school's Graduation Exam, Writing Assessment, and AP exam preparation.
