I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a BA in Spanish Translation and Interpretation and English. During my last two years, my Translation and Interpretation professor selected me to translate and interpret for the Buffalo County Diversion Program. Also during college, I tutored college students through the Center for Academic Success in Spanish and helped the students write and edit their paper (all disciplines). After graduating from college in 2007, I pursued my degree in education, and I have taught 7-12 English and Spanish for the past eight years. Additionally, I obtained my Masters degree in Education in TESOL in 2012 from Grand Canyon University.

Spanish was my first language and did not learn english until I had to in pre-school. Spanish is one of my top subjects! High School Spanish 1-3 and College Spanish 2-4

I'm am a current college student at Nebraska Wesleyan University. I graduated from Malcolm High School with high honors (3.948 GPA) and I currently have a 3.6 GPA (I've found college is a little harder than high school). I received only 5 B+'s in my high school career and the rest were A's. I was on the honor role my entire high school career. I participated in choir, band, cheer/dance, and drama and was in National Honors Society. I received many awards for academics and my extra curricular activities.
I don't really have a teaching style because I have never been an actual tutor before. But, I love helping people and I always helped my friends with homework, especially in math. After graduation I began teaching in Missouri at the middle school level for students with behavioral disorders. I taught all subjects in my classroom. After 2 years I moved to the high school level where I co-taught algebra and pre-algebra. I did this for 5 years and absolutely loved it! Although I do not have a degree in math, I am very comfortable teaching up to algebra as I did it for 5 years. I would be comfortable teaching any math subject up to the algebra level. In college I took 17 hours of Spanish and have a love for the language. I would be very comfortable tutoring beginning learners in this area as I have mastered the basic concepts of the language.
