My comments on tutoring Math : I have taught high school math for 8 years, middle school math for 2 years and tutored math for 12 years.

I think that I am very clear and concise in my explanations of concepts. I am also very good at explaining concepts in multiple ways. So if a student doesn't get how to do a problem using one method, I can go over another approach. I'm a good listener.
I have been teaching math since 8/2000. I first began teaching in a large urban district and then switched to teaching in a private school. I use a very data-driven teaching style. I like to start by gathering data from parents or teachers to determine what is conceived as the child's biggest hurdles. Then, I will give the child a short assessment based on these identified skills and use what they show me to determine my instruction.
