A Little Bit About Me...

Hi! My name is Morgan Pitman and I am senior at Anderson University majoring in Elementary Education. I also have a certification in learning disabilities and have had previous experience tutoring various grade levels (especially 5th grade math and 1st grade reading). I have also spent a significant amount of time observing and assisting in elementary classrooms (grades 1-5). Last year I completed an individual math research project with one of my professors that focused on teaching math to students with learning disabilities. As a former computer instructor, I can't tell you how much I miss teaching. Teaching was the one career in my life where I felt completely fulfilled. I truly love sharing my knowledge and being able to teach others. In addition to teaching, I am also a lifelong student. I have a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, an Associates Degree in Website Design and I am working towards an Associates Degree in Computer Programming. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a graduate of Appalachian State University and am currently a graduate student in Reading at Clemson University. I have a BS in elementary education and absolutely love working with children. I have a minor in English, so I am confident in both my reading skills and writing skills. I have worked with third graders, first graders and kindergarteners in my undergraduate experience and believe I could work with any level.
I absolutely love children of all ages. I am a strong advocate for using literature to spark students' interests in topics. I was a peer tutor in high school for English and Spanish. I also tutored children in Hebrew at a local temple. In addition, I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in Chicago in all areas: Spelling, Reading, Writing, Math, Language, etc. for grades K-8.
I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders. I attempt to make learning as fun and relevant to the child as possible as every child has varying levels of understanding and concentrations. I am extremely patient and can handle anything.
