I truly enjoy teaching. I am very easy going and I can make subjects easy to learn. Since I have an engineering background, I have the tendency to break complex problems into smaller parts. This makes it easier for the student to follow through. All my students in the past have enjoyed learning from me and I am certain that this will not change. I truly believe that anybody can learn math and science; it is a matter of time and perception. In other words, at what angle can the student learn the subject at hand and how quickly can the instructor find the student's vantage point.
While pursuing my Engineering degree at Roger Williams University, I noticed that there were not too many students from low income families attending college. I graduated from the UConn with a B.S. in physics and a minor in mathematics. Because I have used calculus and linear algebra on a daily basis as a means of solving problems I have developed a fundamental understanding of mathematics; an understanding that only someone who has used thse mathematical tools extensively can achieve. I have been tutoring for the past four years. I began tutoring at UConn my junior year and was quickly the most popular physics and calculus tutor on my shift.
