My piano teaching experience is over 20 years at Japan and United States. I teach from beginner to college level students. My motto of piano teaching is “Every lesson should be enjoyable and progressive”. Some of my students passed music major auditions at universities. I am a founder of the Chamber Music Society of Olean and the Young Artists Concert Series which provides a great performing opportunity for young musicians in the area. Teaching and working with children not only educates them but it educates myself in the process. I get to touch up on materials that the children are learning, as well as learn better ways to educate students. Patience is what I believe is the most important aspect of teaching. Children can become unfocused very easily. When children are distracted it may be very difficult to get them focused. Taking your time and making sure they refocus, can actually save time. If they are unfocused and miss a part of what is instructed, they will be confused throughout the whole process. It helps to be patient with the educating process. These educators who take the time to make sure everything is understood make a huge difference in each student.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have a great deal of customer service experience working for both M&T Bank and Key Bank. I excelled in Reading and English subjects throughout school, reading multiple grade levels ahead of myself. I was a writer for Nardin Academy's newspaper and also for Canisius College's newspaper. I have teaching experience in home instruction in flute and piano.
I love teaching and helping children learn. My philosophy is that you have to make this information that your children are learning relatable to what they are going through.
