I am recent high school graduate (Regis High School class of 2015) and in the fall, I will be attending the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, a seven year medical program at City College. I have taken the SATs and ACT exam (Composite score for SAT: 2290, with an 800 in math and 35 on the ACT) and the SAT II subject tests in Biology (800), Chemistry (790), and Math II (800). SAT - Math is one of my top subjects! Scored 800

I like to take students step-by-step through the process of finding answers to complicated questions. I am a strong believer in teaching the student to think for his or herself. If I'm asked a question, I prefer to help the student find the solution rather than simply give the answer. Through college, I learned that the best way to absorb information fast is to find patterns. This makes for easier recall and allows for the building of an information network on which the student can infinitely append.
I have informally tutored many throughout my time at Princeton University in many different fields within Chemistry. I like to use the hands on approach. I find out what the weaknesses are of my students and address the topics by giving a general review. I present a problem for them to work out. After a few minutes, I ask them what they think is the best way to approach the problem. If they cannot come up with one, I then guide them through the appropriate thinking pattern in order for them to solve the problem. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is to catch up mistakes and correct them but my priority is in teaching by showing examples or patterns, by practicing repetitions, by having learner write. For instance, when I took the initiative of teaching french to my newborn (now a teen), I used to flip and "read" small colorful one-large-drawing-per-page books with a noun written with its article. Afterwards, every so often and when the child is ready, to go up one level of difficulty, I did just that and my child spoke fluently with complete sentences at age 13 months. Today, her french is so clear that no one could guess she also speaks english.
