My comments on tutoring Genetics : I hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences degree in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from the University of Toledo. My educational background covered a diverse array of topics, including the relationship between genetics and pharmaceuticals. In addition, my undergraduate research involved analyzing the role of genetics in neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

My tutoring style is very interactive and involves the use of self-made PowerPoint presentations that break-down difficult concepts into easy-to-understand principles, as well as practice problems to improve your understanding of the subject. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a good listener and let the student tell me what problems they are having in any subject. I ask them questions to get them to think about what they're learning in depth. I let them explain things to me instead of just explain everything to them, this way I can find out what they already know and give them feedback so that they can improve on their weaknesses. I am patient with them and let them work at their own pace, never rushing them. I tailor my tutoring to each student's individual needs.

I enjoy teaching and thrive on developing learning strategies. Every child/person learns differently, and discovering the right method is key to opening the mind to difficult subjects. I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching.
