My teaching style revolves around making my learners, whether young or old, feel good about themselves and the process of learning. I understand that each learner is unique and that one size does not fit all. I am especially interested in building, as much as possible, a positive rapport between the learner and myself. I understand clearly that a learner can become very frustrated when trying to absorb and comprehend information that may be foreign to him or her. I am easy going and have a good amount of patience. I completed a one-year French as a foreign language course in Martinique. I have taught several French for Beginners adult classes. My teaching style is unique to each student's indivdual needs. I take time to recognize my students learning style and provide the need materials or teaching style based their needs. I prefer tutoring to working in a classroom because I can give each student the specialized one-on-one time they need to help not only keep them on track with their school's requirements, but also introduce them to better study habits that could help them excel in the classroom when they do return to school.
