I tutored elementary students at Bennett Elementary School in Fargo for a year, helping them with reading skills and work. As a professional communicator, I have worked in broadcast and print journalism and have been a professional writer for 17 years. I have extensive writing and grammatical skills. I have worked for reputable companies, such as Microsoft, as a marketing manager. On a personal level, I have taught Sunday School to ages 3-13 for 10 years at Triumph Church in Moorhead and I taught taekwondo at the ATA Black Belt Academy for one year. A Little Bit About Me...

I have one year of experience teaching children. This experience was teaching a nutrition and wellness program designed by Fargo Cass Public Health to elementary age children. I have a BS in Community Health Education, which has given me the skills to design, implement, and deliver many lessons on health-related topics. As an intern at the Alzheimer's Association, I was able to teach professionals and the community about the disease. I also possess excellent grammar and reading skills as the result of writing many research papers. Currently, I help people with disabilities find employment. This allows me to practice my writing skills on a daily basis as I compose notes on the service I provide to my clients. A Little Bit About Me...

Every kid is different in their own special way. You need different tactics per different kid. Being that I am patient and caring I know that it wouldn't take long for them to get comfortable with me and have me assist them. I believe that every good deed should be rewarded and if the student is doing well he shall be treated so, with a possible treat or even a pat on the back. I feel that if a child is told what they are doing right rather than what they are doing wrong they are more likely to have a positive outlook on what task they are trying to accomplish.
As a young college student I understand that my experience doesn't compare to those with degrees and much time doing it.
