I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. I enjoy helping people to learn. Aside from knowledge base expertise, certain qualities exemplify a good tutor: patience and being a good listener. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is thus: First engage the student about what subject he likes, engage in small talk and then tutor the assignments. ALways praise the student and point his or her strong abilities and plus tell the student they can do this assignment. First I let the student try the assignment and then I will jump in and help.
Since moving to Houston in 1999, I have accrued teaching experience in the following venues: Adminsitration, helping students with time management skills and homework. Taught my own children phonics, constructed science fair experiments and writing assignments. Tutor: Tutored a child with learning disabilities in Social Science, Language Arts, Spelling and History.
