I'm patient and listen to the student to see what they get and don't get about the premise of the lesson. Then we get to it. Careful reinforcement of the Correct method will ensure Remembrance and Results. Also, Lessons must be approached within the context of the Big Picture. Students need to realize that there are no pointless or forgettable sections. Basically, communication is key followed by practice, reinforcement, more practice. Learning can be at pace, but laziness and whining will not be tolerated. I have a Bachelor of Art in History, predominantly American. I also pursued Engineering for my first year and plan to go back to College. I have completed through Calculus II and am also experienced in hands-on mechanical. I have limited tutoring experience, but I know I can listen and respond. Any experience came from helping others in classes during College.

I have been actively involved with college tutoring for 4 years and during that time I rose to Senior tutor. I assisted students with mathematics, from pre algebra to Calc III, physics, and engineering courses. This was primarily one on one tutoring but I have also been involved in some classroom based programs. I have recently graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology's Electromechanical Engineering program. It is a unique degree with a heavy focus on design and includes systems engineering courses. The program must pass both mechanical and electrical engineering accreditation. I am capable of teaching math, physics, or engineering courses. My teaching style involves focusing on real world applications and judging answers for realism. I also try to imbue the students with an understanding of the material beyond simple memorization.
