A Little Bit About Me...

Experience with phonics(as a teacher of 1st graders, also experience with children who have learning difficulties, referred to by the school. These children ranged from kindergarten to 8th grades. Special emphasis on reading and writing. I taught in public and private schools and have tutored in my home 10 years. I recently worked with Professional Tutors of America, with junior high students in math.
I enjoy working one on one with children to improve academic performance. I have a number of books collected to supplement learning. I like using at least 5 different kinds of activities per session to keep interest. I enjoy working with phonics and have used it extensively to build performance. I enjoy using books that interest each child to help them have a great desire for reading.

I’ve trained volunteers of all ages and backgrounds in biological studies and proper equipment etiquette. There is nothing more I want to do with my life than care for others, which gives me a certain drive to help any and all individuals succeed in any way that I can. Assisting students to achieve their full potential is something that I have done in the past and look forward to doing in the future. I participated in the Gateway Program at my University, tutoring students on the subject of their choice. I have earned a Bachelor degree in Psychology, including courses in Biology, Chemistry, and statistics.
