I have taught Math, English, Science and other core courses in California public and private schools for 28 years. My students always enjoy learning with me because I teach application as well as theory. I show how and where the facts being learned can be employed. The more students are involved with the learning process the faster they internalize the material and the sharper, clearer will be their recall. My teaching style is a combination of TPR (Total Physical Response), Socratic and Discovery. I believe that involving the student's intellect and creativity is very valuable in arriving at their understanding of the material.

I have been teaching in Yuma, AZ for 23 years. I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I currently teach Science and Social Studies for 5th grade at Gary Knox Elementary. I have experience working with a variety of learning styles and abilities. I can help students with learning disabilities, as well as ADD/ADHD. I am a very kind and loving person and take this approach when tea hung students. I believe in treating people with respect and I model this in my teaching on a daily basis. I believe that each child has the potential to learn anything, We must just find the best way they do that.

I have taught K-12 students and college students academic, college prep and adult education for 25 years. My students are encouraged to be academically strong , goal setters and goal achievers. I enjoy beung a lifelong learner, as I continue to acquire new knowledge. I have been contracted and tenured (by school districts). I began teaching (upon being advised to ddo so) as a substitute. This afforded me the opportunity to observe the different nuances of several schools, before I accepted a contract offer. My teaching style is relaxed, allowing ( and encouraging) more interaction with my students. I encourage my students to participate wholly, in the discussion.
