I recently moved to Arizona and received my substitute teaching certificate. I am a new college Graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Ag Leadership and Development. My degree helped me understand how individuals learn and process information. It also helped me understand and respect people of different cultures, religions and races. I learned many different teaching mechanisms and strategies to educate individuals. While in high school I was very involved in 4-H and other extracurricular activities. During my senior year in high school, I tutored and mentored at a program named AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). This program is designed to prepare students for college. My job was to help students with any subject they were having trouble with. Math was the most common subject that students needed help with the most. In high school I took geometry, algebra, and math analysis. Statistics is my highest level of college math. I believe that with my experience and knowledge in math I can be a successful math tutor.
