I teaching and working with student of all ages. I believe that those that I have tutoredin the past and present learn best though hands on learning. The process by which demonstration problems are correctly worked out and then assists them in completing the problems at hand.
I have always loved numbers and they are my passion. As a student at FMCC I was able to pursue my goal and assist others along the way. I tutored mainly math at FMCC for about 1.5 years while still attending school, but also tutored in a variety of subjects ranging from english to science to business to accounting. I currently am tutoring a friend with an accounting class. I took math, science, and english classes in which I recieved high grades in all.

As a student, I found it rewarding to help others in the fields which I excelled. My credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University at Albany, along with a background of mentoring. When I received my degree, I decided I would like to help others in the area of business. My grades in the accounting courses I attended reflect the knowledge I have learned in the subject. I have always enjoyed school and hoped someday to return in some capacity. Tutoring is a step towards that goal.
Tutoring is a one on one teaching situation. With use of special techniques, studying may become less of a chore. I want the student to understand so that they can apply material to other situations. When one understands, they have it forever.

I enjoy tutoring enough to do it for free, which I have done for my friends from time to time. I’m a friendly laid back person who loves to learn and help others learn, particularly in a one on one setting. I’m quite good at breaking a subject down into an understandable step by step process and making sure they not only know the answers, but how and why they got the answers. I’m good with kids and often would rather be with them instead of adults.

Having received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Cornell University and the University of California in the area of physical science (Atmospheric Science), I have attained a high level of knowledge in multiple areas ranging from Math and Science (particularly Physics) as well as Chemistry and Biology. In addition, while at Cornell University I earned a Minor in Communications focusing on both Written and Oral Communication.
