My comments on tutoring Poetry : I have moderated and edited the school magazines, journals, poetry
for outside publishing.
Over the years, my style has evolved, going from teacher initiated instruction to student-interest based assessments,which have allowed me to gain the full attention and participation of the class as a whole.
By determining what the students know, what they want to know, and finally, their specific learning style
I can adjust curriclum to include teaching stratgies they will address these goals while presenting the
"standards" simultaneously. Teaching is an Art.
I have taught for over twenty years in private and public high schools; additionally, I have had the opportunity
to teach community college, ESL students, and the Philadelphia Police Force.
