In obtaining my bachelor degree, I have been able to gain knowledge and understanding in many areas such as math, science, grammar,and english compensation. I have taught and tutored students of all ages and several different subjects. I believe my military experience has given me great experience in diversity, and has enable me to work well with all cultures and personalities. I have a strong passion for teaching, I love to teach all ages of students ranging from elementary to college students. As a mother, tutor, school volunteer I have always enjoyed interacting with children and young people. I love to watch them learn and grow confidence in themselves. I also have taken many psychology classes and am very interested in how different people process and learn. As a tutor, I have always tried different styles depending on which one works. Younger children are more literal while older children and teens are more self aware and I find sometimes just their self image is what is holding them back (ie girls are bad in math). I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors in English and Education in May 2010. I will be attending UF in the Fall to begin studying to receive my Masters in Secondary Education with a specialization in English. I am well rounded in my education having taken classes in psychology, education, sciences, mathematics, English, French, and humanities.I have volunteered in local high schools as well as at the elementary levels.
