My comments on tutoring Cheering : I have taken and taught cheerleading. I taught tumbling/acrobatics for a number of years. Teaching things like: Back handsprings, ariel's, kartwheels both sides, round off's, back tucks and more!

Hey there, My name is Heather Dinsdale. I started Dancing at age 4 and have been dancing for many years. I have been trained in Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tumbling/Acro and more! During high school, I got to compete for 3 years at dance Competitions such as Dance Makers Inc., Access Broadway and Dance Educators of America. Once Graduating from High School, I have been teaching for the past 3 years and I love it so much. I have choreographed dances for competitions, weddings, parties, recitals and more! I'm excited for more teaching opportunities.
My favorite styles to teach are Lyrical,Tumbling and Tap. However, I enjoy teaching every style of dance.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a mother, tutor, school volunteer I have always enjoyed interacting with children and young people. I love to watch them learn and grow confidence in themselves. I also have taken many psychology classes and am very interested in how different people process and learn. As a tutor, I have always tried different styles depending on which one works. Younger children are more literal while older children and teens are more self aware and I find sometimes just their self image is what is holding them back (ie girls are bad in math). As a woman engineer, I have experienced this belief first hand and am living proof it is not the case. I believe everyone has greater potential than they are aware.

I have excellent interpersonal people skills. I have a great passion for children and a sincere desire to help them learn. I was allowed the privilege to teach elementary, middle ,and high school as a substitute teacher on an as needed basis in the previous school year.
