This love lead me to earn a bachelors degree in Psychology and a masters degree in Sociology, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of students' persepectives. My teaching style varies based on the age of the student. I like to be a little more animated with my k-6 graders. On the other hand, with my 7-12 graders I focus more so on making a connection with the material--showing them how it relates to them.

I have taught as an English Instructor at East Mississippi Community College and Mary Holmes College. I taught several courses. Developmental I and II were very basic grammar and writing courses. Composition I and II were courses that introduced students to writing essays and the research paper. In addition, I have also taught English as A Second Language at Mississippi State University and Greater Columbus Learning Center. As a student in high school, I always have had a passion for math, as well as a passion to teach. I earned my Associate's Degree in Math Education from Mary Holmes College & went on to pursue my Bachelor's Degree from Mississippi State University. Even while pursuing my degrees, I was a Substitute Teacher for the West Point School District for almost 4 years. I then became a Teacher Assistant for the Starkville School District, and now I am a Pre-K Teacher for Oktibbeha COunty School District.
