I am a very hands-on teacher. I try to help students by showing them how it is done and then letting them practice.

Most of the skills I have acquired were either through learning them during my time at school or through doing personal research because they interested me. I ask a lot of questions to get the students thinking. I believe in teaching young people and the adults I have worked with to think critically fist. A Little Bit About Me...

As a high school student, I was very active in extracurricular activities. I participated in the rotary club, volunteering at local soup kitchens. I was also a member of the Newspaper, Quiz Bowl, Robotics Team, soccer and baseball throughout my high school career. Through volunteering at the Boys and Girls club, I was turned out to tutoring students in Algebra and Trigonometry. I spent my Junior and Senior year tutoring students in these areas of mathematics.
I think that in today's public education system, with ever-growing class sizes some students get thrown to the wayside. A Little Bit About Me...

I like working with children of all ages. I believe that children of all ages and cultural backgrounds can learn if given a proper chance. I even managed to teach children in South Korea, when I didn't speak Korean at all and my students had limited English skills. I taught them through games and use of our workbooks and student books. I believe in making learning a fun experience with lots of games and an easy going manner. If the kid is bored or unhappy, it is going to make it much harder for the child to learn.
