I have taught SAT Math prep at Cary Academy during the last two summers and at Roxboro Community School where I worked primarily as a Spanish Teacher.
I like to use examples and cater my lessons to what the student needs to work on (i.e. homework, test-prep). I was always interested in the Spanish language. My family had a Spanish housekeeper. She was like a grandmother and why I chose to take Spanish. Then I had a Spanish teacher who encouraged me to continue learning and I did. I studied a semester abroad in Costa Rica and lived there for 2 years, immersing myself in the language and becoming more fluent. To live down there I became certified in teaching English as a foreign language. During my 2 years in Costa Rica I worked for many institutes teaching students of varying ages and ability levels.
