Rachel Miller

Once I graduated I was immediately hired as a long term substitute teacher in South Georgia. I wasn't offered a teaching job for the next school year so I moved here to Spartanburg, SC. I obtained a job at a headstart and a tutoring facility.Then in November 2012 I was hired on at SC School for the Deaf and the Blind. I have taught and tutored many students and adults in a variety of subjects. I enjoy tutoring in math the most because I love this subject. Although this is my favorite, I still enjoy helping people excel in troubling subject areas.
As a teacher, I know that each student/ person learns in a different manner. Due to this my teaching methods vary with every person.

As an intinerant teacher I moved from elementary schools to high schools tutoring students in all subject context areas, while providing hands on individualized learning to meet the needs of the students and their disabilities when necessary. This approach provides technology, group learning and one on one learning when necessary for the students to meet their maximum capabilities in school.
