I have had many years in the feild of education, K - secondary. I have had the chance to teach many children with different disibilities during this time. After moving to Florida I began teaching private guitar and art lessons on Tyndall AFB and at my church. Having this experience has also taught me many things about how to deal with people and how different people learn differently. I've learned that the most effective way to teach (espcially art or music) is one on one or in small groups. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught K-Post Secondary through out my teaching career. I have done a great deal of graphic design work with military contractors. However I am most happy teaching. I am trying to get back into that arena because I realize that I was meant to teach, and to help others. There is something that I like to call the WOW factor in teaching. This is when a student gets it! When the light bulb comes on, or when a student understands that THEY, on their own, did something that, up to that point was like hitting a brick wall. I began my teaching experience during college by first working as a teacher’s aide, after which I transitioned into substitute teaching, tutoring and after school care. Eventually I graduated and worked in elementary education as a teacher. I chose to continue my education and become an engineer. I earned a B.A. Elementary Education degree with a concentration in Early Childhood from Concordia University, St. Paul, MN. I have been teaching elementary children for the past 28 years.
