I love working with all age groups. I have three younger siblings that I have helped tutor through all levels of their educations. I have also tutored on a college level while in attendance at Presbyterian College. I am very patient, easy-going, and considerate. I emphasize the personal nature of the teacher-learner relationship. I teach by asking questions, exploring options with learners, and focusing on learner responsibility, independence, and initiative. In the summer time during my undergraduate career I worked as a camp counselor and coach in Colorado for children from the ages of 6-18. After completion of my BA I coached at my alma-mater. From there I decided to pursue my graduate education and took a scholarship in the althetic department at the University of Arkansas where I became an academic advisor for the football team for 4 years. In the summers during my graduate career I worked for Sylvan Learning centers. I began as an English teacher and filled in on Math when they were short handed. I worked with all levels from pre-K to adult. After obtaining my doctorate without dissertation, I took a job teaching English in South Korea.
