My style is to take the subject matter and make it understandable and tangible to the student the best way possible, through the student's learning style. My matter-of-fact approach to lessons allows for getting the most out of the time allotted, while instilling the joy and magic that music brings to the world. In the end, my goal is to help the student discover a life long creative outlet in their music, whether it be a hobby or career. Have played flute for 30 years. Studied under Aubrie Dionne privately. Coming from a family of teachers, the importance of education has always been stressed to me. The emphasis was placed not only on succeeding academically, but also to gain a true understanding of the subject matter. I hold an Associates of Applied Science in Community Service and Leadership and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I also hold a Bachelors of Science in Family Studies with a concentration on early childhood education and graduated Summa Cum Laude. I have an extensive knowledge of reading, writing and grammar and have always scored well into the 90th percentiles on standardized tests in these areas.
