Depending on the area of study, my style of teaching is to allow the subject material to be come a personal part of the student. I feel that until a student makes it his or her own, he or she will not get the full potential od that subject. I have owned a business for over 17 years. I have been involved with several ministries help people understand their potential in the world. I have be a teacher of the bible for over 15 years at different locations. During high school and junior college I worked as an office assistant for a trucking company. Upon completion of my two year degree I worked briefly for an accountant before furthering my education at Mississippi College. While at Mississippi College, I had an internship at another trucking company that lasted almost two years. I completed my MBA online and maintained a 3.9 GPA while working at a temporary position. I currently work in retail sales at the Outlets of Vicksburg.

I earned both my Bachelor's of Arts in English and my Master's of Science in Public Relations from the University of Southern Mississippi. While at USM, I served as the Assistant to the Graduate Reader as a graduate student, where my job was to proof graduate and Ph.D. students' theses and dissertations. This job, in particular, helped me become extremely familiar with APA and MLA formatting, as well as everyday grammar and word usage. I also took a number of education classes while persuing my Bachelor's degree. I realize that, in order for a student to want to learn, the subject must be presented to them in an interesting way. I encourage my students to take ownership in their learning and appreciate how important it is. As a college graduate, I have taken several courses to enhance my knowledge base in education. I have earned a BS in Elementary Education with endorsements in Reading and Special Education and a MS in Secondary Education with an endorsement in Guidance Education. I will be graduating in May with a Specialist in Education degree. As a public school educator, I teach in a self-contained setting.
