I posess a Bachelors Degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Education. I have been able to successfully combine these two areas in school environments as well as corporate environments. The students that I have taught, tutored and mentored varied in age, educational level, and ability. I have always tried to match my teaching style to the learning styles of my students. I have tried to individualize instruction as much as possible. I have taught various areas of Business to apply to many different venues. A Little Bit About Me...

I love to work with students one-on-one from topic selection to final editing. Making the right decisions early in the writing process is critical to the paper’s success, and I have many classroom-tested tools and techniques to help students make the right decisions. My goal is leave each student with the skills they need to succeed in writing –not just a particular paper but any writing assignment they may face.
After earning my BA and PhD in English, I spent many years in industry as an engineer, quality manager, project manager, and technical writer. I have taught a wide range of subjects in college classrooms, from astronomy to information literacy and composition to professional writing. I am currently on the faculty at two colleges here in Maine and I serve as an editor for several academic and industry publications.
