A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored several people in the past in basic algebra for various things such as the GED or a college class. I worked for two years as a tutor at the Augusta State University Writing Center, tutoring all manner of students, from ESL to graduate students. I also tutored a student with aspergers; thus, I have experience working with special needs clients. I also do freelance editing. I am primarily versed in English, but if math (anything below pre-calculus) help is needed, I will gladly assist.

After doing a study abroad in Japan for a year I was enticed to go back and teach English there. Adjusting to the culture both professionally and personally has been an invaluable experience, and I have discovered the great impact I can make as a teacher coming from another country. In addition to carrying out lessons, I have taken on the role of increasing the awareness of diversity among our Japanese student body, faculty, as well as community.
