I have taught English at a private school in Ansan, South Korea for 1 year from March 2009 to February 2010. I taught children from ages 5-14. This was a full time job. I take close consideration of each child’s ability in the language and cater to his or her individual needs. I believe in teaching in an immersion environment so that the child receives the maximum exposure to the target language. I understand all students learn differently, so it was my goal to ensure that I offered a variety of techniques to present the class material. A Little Bit About Me...

What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning. Given the student a concept and allowing them to explore the possibilities of how one arrives at such a concept has allowed deeper critical thinking and strategic planning. However, this method is not predominately taught in Georgia education system. I have found this method to be very effective. The other method is patience. Students who strugge with their academic learning usually are having other areas of difficulty which may be social learning. Having clinical training allows me to make a more accurate assessment.
