It takes two to tutor...and tango!

I am an English major at the University of South Carolina Beaufort in my final semester of study and will be graduating in December with a BA and a concentration in writing. Though I have never formally been a tutor, I have always been the person that my friends have gone to for help with composing papers, interpreting and analyzing passages of literature, and general study skills for how to improve their writing and/or reading abilities. I am a member of my university's varsity softball team, and I have helped a lot of my teammates on long bus rides to games delve into a passage of Shakespeare or see the beauty behind Wordsworth's lines. I can teach in a variety of ways. mainly by using ways to relate to the students understandings. I dont like the costant drilling techniques many people use. Some people learn more by constantly studying, while others study just enough to get an understanding. thats me.

Love to Teach

I began teaching Art to middle school students within the public school system in 1989. I began working with elementary grades in 1991. I began to pursue a master's degree in Education in 2007 through the University of Phoenix (UoP). The online experience and consistent communication with my instructors and classmates were invaluable. Experienced Math Tutor

I have been tutoring math for the past 2 years, focusing primarily on high school math. I have tutored students taking Georgia's Math 1, 2, and 3 courses (equivalent to Algebra I,II, and III, Geometry, some Trig and some Statistics).
