A Little Bit About Me...

I took votech business class in high school for three years. I am advanced in all of the microsoft office applications. I also have taken two years of accounting. I have also volunteered at a school for the mentally handicapped. We would read to them and teach them to write. We also took them on little outings like the zoo and the beach.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of an all girls private school (Peace College) in Raleigh NC, I have become a true leader in the female world. I have always been driven to make a mark in this world by setting by example. I have earned a BA in Communications, specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. Also minoring in Graphic Design, I have become pro efficient in computers and have an advanced expertise in Desktop publishing and basic through advanced computer skills. During my years in college I mentored kids in coaching a swim team at a local country club in Jacksonville NC as well as teaching swim lessons to kids for 5 consecutive summers.

More About This Tutor...

Having a degree in Philosophy & Religion has many advantages in teaching. I have found to better understand a subject it is best to go and study many different resources for that subject, a macro-view. However the complicated subject is, a person who knows that subject will be able to present it in a simple concise manner. With this approach I am able to study and present a variety of subjects in a concise but exciting manner. The full grasps of studying P&R encompasses many sub fields of study : i.e. history, psychology, sociology, pretty much all the liberal arts.
My teaching style would best be described as conversational at best, drawing out of the student, their knowledge or lack of knowledge. I have taught my two honors student sons that I add to their body of knowledge and they are to coalesce the information to their understanding.
