I tutored middle school and high school students in math when I was in a high school, specifically algebra I and II, as well as SAT prep. In college, I helped students in calculus, biology, and statistics, as these are the primary focus of my undergraduate degree. Genetics is one of my top subjects! A large component of my graduate research utilized population genetics to answer fisheries questions.

I successfully completed a B.S. in Marine Biology from the College of Charleston in 2004. During my undergraduate career I was able to participate in a research cruise at sea and conduct independent research. I later worked for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Marine Resources Division, conducting research in a variety of fields including mariculture and stock enhancement. In 2006 I began the graduate program in Marine Biology at the College of Charleston. While there, I taught two semesters of Molecular Biology Lab as a Teaching Assistant. After I completed high school with a 4.0 GPA I was hired at a professional tutoring school. There I worked for nearly 10 years with a loyal student base many of whom I taught the entire time.
