Our children today need to be encouraged and given the opportunity to develop. Some students aren't able to get the attention they need in a classroom setting with all of the other students. In public school, the key to teaching success is the ability to motivate students to try their best by learning as much about each individual student as possible and keeping their attention. One of my classroom rules for students is to participate in everything we do. I keep my students engaged for the full ninety minutes through varied activities and try to change activities every twenty minutes. My goal with each lesson is to provide students with multiple opportunities to learn concepts and use varied assessment tools each day.
