A Little Bit About Me...

I have a bachelors degree in chemistry and took graduate level biochemistry classes for three years. I have taught general chemistry both as an undergraduate and a graduate student. I have two years of teaching experience, including teaching middle school sceinece, high school biology, chemistry and physics at a private school. In my spare time I like to write fiction, so in addition to writing on technical subjects, I have experience with creative writing.
I enjoy teaching science and strive to teach my students to be able to think for themselves. I try to gear my lessons so that my students are not only able to recall the material, but able to use it. I am an easygoing teacher who aims to make the lessons fun, so that they will be enjoyed.

I believe learning is about confidence. I have seen numerous students doing poorly in courses because they were convinced that they were not capable of learning the subject matter. Small successes help to build confidence in order to move on to the subsequent challenges.
