My comments on tutoring Ballet : I have danced most of my life starting with ballet as a young child

I have always wanted to teach! So any opportunity I got in high school I took it! I was enrolled in the teaching academy all through high school. Through this academy I got to intern/teach many different grade levels. I started with a kindergarten class and then moved up to 6th grade P.E. and Science, then I moved to 3rd grade. I was also hired by the school district to be an AVID tutor for 7th and 8th graders. I have danced most of my life so when I was offered to co-choreograph the plays at my old Middle School I took it and did that for four years. I am also currently volunteering at my church to teach a class for 3rd graders on Sundays.
Through the Teaching Academy I was in I learned all of the different the different teaching styles and how to teach them. I personally like the student to have structure but I understand they are young and need a little patience and time and wit ... read more

The variety of my experience gives me a wonderfully personal approach to each student. I have taught Sunday School to all ages of elementary students and have also helped young children appreciate the wonder of learning as I taught them kindergarten basics. I have taught English as a foreign language to adults and children in both group and individual settings. I have also worked with a nonprofit organization to teach and mentor adult volunteers, equipping them for peer counseling. I graduated as valedictorian in high school and as summa cum laude in college; learning makes sense to me. My degrees are in English and Spanish, but I also excelled in mathematics during high school to the extent that it was my initial college study choice.
