A Little Bit About Me...

I love to help children understand a subject better. It is a great feeling to see a student get the idea after being helped. I believe that every student is capable of learning; it all depends on their learning style. In my masters program and while I have been teaching, I have learned many ways to get students engaged in the material they are learning. Some students learn better with one on one and some do better with group work. You just have to try different approaches until you see which one works best. Sometimes it just depends on what is being taught. If you show interest in the student he/she will show more interest in your class or subject area and do better.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love tutoring anyone who is of high school or college age. I firmly believe that when a student doesn't understand something in one way, present it in a different way so that the concept may be understood in a different way. Everyone has a different learning style so evolving the technique to meet the individuals need is paramount. I prefer to have a more hands-on approach so that the understanding of information is easy to grasp and enjoyable.
Originally, in college, I was an Education major but, the hours required by the education department for Biology seemed meager. So I switched my major to Biology and graduated in the summer of 2009.
