I genuinely enjoy helping all people, be it in the workplace or in the academic atmosphere. My teaching style is similar to my communication style - friendly and driven. When I sit down with a tutee, my goal is to guide them without giving the answers away. It is important for students to reach the sense of satisfaction that one gets when he or she solves a problem or overcomes an obstacle on their own. In 2005 I graduated from Fredonia University with childhood education including a middle school extension in English. I completed my master's degree in Special Education from Medaille University in 2008. I hold a New York Certification in Childhood Education as well as English through grade 9. I have worked in many educational levels throughout the elementary and middle school. I spent 3 years as a teacher's aide in a pre-school setting. I spent a year as the academic intervention specialist in a elementary school. I have also spent 2 years as a general education teacher in the first grade. I graduated with a degree in elementary education. I have since taught preschool and substitute taught for several years. I also worked at a theraputic staff support worker for behavorial children.
