My teaching philosophy is very material and audience dependent and because of that, it is very difficult for me to provide a general and universal approach. It acknowledges the fact that people have different attention spans, learning processes, academic backgrounds, and life experiences. I also individualize information sharing based on questions and body language. Physics is a challenging subject and it requires understanding of concpets, application of mathematics and anlytical reasoning. My style is to help students learn how to catch fish rather feeding them fish. I give emphasis on helping students develop their own reasoning, so that they can become independent learners.I usually explain concpets first and teach them how to apply these concpets for problem solving. Once they are good at understanding concpets, problem solving becomes easy. I have found that student mainly have difficulty learning concepts so i spend good amount of time in making them understand concpets by asking stimulating questions and finding their misconceptions.
