Because of my passion for teaching and being the best teacher possible, I have earned a BS in Physical Education, a MS in Educational Leadership, and an MS in Specific Learning Disabilities. I have taught in the Bay County School District for the past 28 years, with the last 19 years being in Specific Learning Disabilities. Many of the things in life that we don't "get" are things we don't understand. When teaching, I try to break things down and simplify them so they can be easily understood. Often the kids in my class are those who do not like to be challenged, so I incorporate a lot of questions to provoke thinking and problem solving on their own. Since repetition is a key component to learning, I review a lot which requires patience but pays great dividends in the long run.
